Twin Micron SRL 2 Meter with Aluminum Swivel Scaffold Hook

AFS550102D-TDS MICRONS-UIM

The KSTRONG MICRON is a revolutionary personal self-retracting lifeline (SRL-P) engineered to replace traditional energy-absorbing lanyards. Its supremely lightweight architecture and exceptional versatility are not only suited for standard overhead anchorage but are also rigorously tested for foot-level (Fall Factor 2) and sharp edge applications, providing professionals in high-risk environments with unprecedented freedom of movement and unrivaled safety.

  • Universal Application Flexibility: Certified for vertical, horizontal, and Fall Factor 2 (foot-level anchorage) use, ensuring perfect adaptability to dynamic worksite conditions.
  • Industry-Leading Sharp Edge Protection: Passed the VG11 RFU #11.060 test, allowing safe use over sharp steel structures or roof edges with a radius of r ≥ 0.5mm, significantly expanding operational scope.
  • Extremely Lightweight & Quick-Acting: Features a high-strength polymer housing, making it one of the lightest in its class, with a fast-acting brake system that limits fall arrest forces to exceptionally low levels.

Applicable Scope

  • Construction & Maintenance
  • Scaffolding
  • Roofing
  • Warehousing & Elevated Work Platforms
  • Oil & Gas
  • Utilities & Telecom Tower Work
  • Mining & Confined Space

The Lightweight Personal SRL That Redefines Safety Standards for Sharp Edge and Foot-Level Work.

  • An ultra-lightweight 6.5 ft. (2m) personal self-retracting lifeline that connects directly to a harness, serving as a smart upgrade to conventional shock-absorbing lanyards.
  • Designed for professionals working at height, especially in complex scenarios involving sharp edges, lack of overhead anchorage, or foot-level tie-offs (Fall Factor 2).
  • It is one of the lightest leading-edge rated SRLs on the market, approved for Fall Factor 2 conditions, and achieves an extremely short arrest distance with an impact force of less than 4kN, delivering top-tier protection.

Value and Benefits

  • Unmatched Freedom of Movement: The 6.5 ft. (2m) self-retracting webbing stays consistently taut, completely eliminating the trip, snag, and drag hazards common with traditional lanyards, allowing you to focus on the task.
  • Expand Your Operational Boundaries: Certified against the most stringent VG11 sharp edge test, empowering you with absolute confidence to work on steel beams, unprotected roof perimeters, and other challenging edges.
  • Ultimate Safety Assurance: Specifically engineered for Fall Factor 2 conditions. Even with a foot-level anchor, it effectively absorbs fall energy, drastically reducing impact forces on the body and minimizing the risk of serious injury.
  • Lightweight Design for All-Day Comfort: The high-strength polymer housing creates a tough yet lightweight unit. As a lanyard replacement, its presence is barely noticeable, significantly boosting comfort and productivity during long hours at height.
  • Flexible System Configuration: Easily convert the single-leg SRL into a twin-leg system for 100% tie-off using dedicated connectors (AFC609101, AFC609100), ensuring continuous connection while transitioning between anchor points.

Performance

  • Rated Capacity: 140 kg (310 lbs) for both vertical and horizontal use.
  • Dynamic Performance (EN 360:2002): Tested with a 140 kg mass, achieving a maximum arrest force of < 6.0 kN and an arrest distance of < 2.0 m.
  • Sharp Edge Performance (VG11 RFU #11.060): Passed drop tests over an edge with r ≥ 0.5mm, with a maximum arrest force of < 6 kN and an arrest distance of < 2 m.
  • Fall Factor 2 Performance: Engineered for foot-level tie-off scenarios to effectively absorb fall energy and significantly reduce impact forces on the user.
  • Static Strength: Withstands a 15 kN static load for 3 minutes without failure or release.
  • Retraction Functionality: Passed rotation tests (PPE-R/11.124); equipped with a 360-degree swivel top and swivel hook to prevent webbing twists during use.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Metal components meet ISO 9227:1990 standard, passing a 24-hour salt spray test.
  • Operating Temperature Range: -30°C to +50°C (-22°F to +122°F).

Maintenance

  • Pre-Use Inspection: Visually inspect before each use for any signs of wear, cuts, or chemical damage to the webbing, cracks in the housing, and corrosion or deformation of metal parts. Ensure the hook functions correctly.
  • Periodic Examination: A formal inspection must be conducted and documented by a competent person authorized by the manufacturer at least every 12 months.
  • Cleaning: Clean minor dirt with a cotton cloth or soft brush. For intensive cleaning, hand wash with a neutral detergent in water between 25°C to 50°C (77°F to 122°F), then allow to air dry in a ventilated area away from direct heat.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, moisture, corrosive substances, and sharp edges.
  • Lifespan: 10 years from the date of manufacture. This can be reduced by factors such as intense use, chemical exposure, extreme temperatures, UV exposure, abrasions, cuts, violent impacts, or improper use/maintenance.
